Of all the photos I shot this past weekend, the photo above has to be my favorite. I caught them pulling in to the sorting area after driving one of the many pickup routes for the Food For Neighbors Red Bag Event. They were all smiles and decked out in their warm FFN attire.

It was a frosty morning, but we had a bold group of volunteers that braved the cold to pick-up, sort and distribute over 17,000 pounds of food for local students that struggle with food insecurity. That’s right…17,000 pounds! Did I mention it was cold and early? Even if it was a bit nippy, I was blessed to be surrounded by a group of strong volunteers fiercely dedicated to those that are most vulnerable in our community. Hunger is closer than you think!
